Thursday Tip with Hali - Clean your Space
Thursday Tip // Clean your space!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Is the final push to finish those handmade gifts making you go bananas?! Today’s tip is 3 words again, and simply; clean your space! Doing a quick tidy while you work can help you find that missing pattern piece or those pesky snips and hopefully get you to that last seam even quicker! If you plan to finally step away from your machine for a few days here are a few suggestions to help you get your sewing space ready for 2021!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1. Clean your machine - a quick brush of the lint around the feed dogs and a wipe of all surfaces with a clean, dry cloth. If you fancy a deep-clean follow your machine’s manual for cleaning and oiling.
2. Put unfinished projects, pre cut pattern pieces, notions etc. into separate project bags or bins so you can easily pick up where you left off.
3. Tidy your thread spools; making sure all the ends are tucked in tight!
4. Organize leftover fabric into larger, garment size pieces and smaller, scrap size pieces.
And a quick vacuum to pick up all the loose floor threads can’t hurt either!
