Thursday Tip with Hali - Keeping a Sewing Journal

Do you keep a journal for your sewing plans? What kinds of things do you include in your notes?⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
For some, organization is the key to success so here’s the nudge you need to get started documenting your projects. Some things to consider keeping notes on; your measurements, size, adjustments made to the pattern, fabric, needle type, stitch settings etc. Another handy thing to jot down is the seam allowance! Then you have quick access to that info without having to dig in the instructions to find it. Taking detailed notes is also a bonus if you decide to make the same garment again in the future. You can look back and (hopefully) remember what you did so your second and third versions can be just as good or better!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

There are lots of printable sewing project planners out there or you can develop your own system in a notebook or binder, whatever suits your style. If you have a favourite system or planner you use, feel free to share it in the comments.
